InvolveXR overview

InvolveXR is Lumeto's AI-powered clinical simulation platform that lets healthcare learners practice in realistic virtual scenarios, from patient assessment to emergency response. There are three ways to access InvolveXR, and you can use any combination depending on your setup.

01

The three core applications

๐ŸŒ The Web Portal

URL: healthcare.lumeto.com

This is your command centre. Trainers and administrators use the Web Port al to create sessions, build rosters, assign cases, and review performance data. All from a browser, with no download required.

๐Ÿ’ป The Desktop App (OnScreen)

OnScreen delivers the full InvolveXR simulation on a laptop or desktop, with no headset needed. Learners navigate a 3D patient environment using their mouse and keyboard.

This is ideal for remote learners, or for facilities that are not yet set up with VR hardware.

๐Ÿงž The VR App (Meta Quest)

The highest-fidelity option. Learners put on a Meta Quest headset and step directly inside the simulation, physically walking, reaching, and interacting with the virtual patient and clinical environment.

This format produces the strongest sense of presence and clinical immersion.

Info

You can mix and match. A single session can have some learners in VR headsets while others join through OnScreen on a laptop.

02

How a typical session works

1

Trainer logs in

Go to healthcare.lumeto.com and schedule a session or assign a learning experience.

Creating a Session

Scheduling a session for Instuctor led sessions (ILT)

Assigning a Learning Experience

Assigning a Learning Experience for Self Directed Learning (SDL)

2

Learners are invited or scheduled

Depending on if the lesson is self-directed or instructor-led, the learner is either invited to a session at a set time (instructor-led), or they are assigned learning experiences for them to complete on their own time (self-directed).

3

Trainer launches the simulation

For instructor-led training, instructors join the scenario and start it for the group.

4

Learners complete the scenario

They work through the simulation in real time, making clinical decisions as the case unfolds. Self-directed learners do this independently. Instructor-led learners may do it alongside other learners in the same scenario.

Review results

After the session, performance data is automatically captured and available in the Web Portal for debrief and assessment.

Tip

Self-directed and instructor-led sessions can be used together across a curriculum, so a cohort might practice self-directed cases first, then meet for a facilitated group session.
