01How each lesson works
The same five steps, every time
- Watch the video for the skill on this page.
- In your headset, open the matching lesson in Self-Directed Lessons.
- Press Start on the message board to turn on the checklist.
- Complete every task on the checklist.
- Press End Lesson on the message board when you're done.

Scrolling the message board
Point at the board at the back of the room, press your index finger down, and move your hand up or down, like scrolling on a phone.
02Movement
Move around the room and interact with objects. Lesson: Onboarding 1 - Movement
Get around
TeleportUse teleportation to move to a new spot in the room.
Listen for instructions
The session tells you what to do next, so keep your volume up.
03Speaking with patients
Talk to your patient out loud. Lesson: Onboarding 2 - Speaking with Patients

B buttonPress and hold B on the right controller while you talk. Let go when you finish, and the patient responds.
04Patient interactions
Care for your patient
Assess your patient and handle equipment with your hands.

Grab an item
Middle fingerWhen an object turns blue, press and hold your middle finger. Either hand works.
Auscultate
StethoscopeHold the bell of the stethoscope against the patient.
05Medication delivery
Give oral medication to your patient. Lesson: Onboarding 4 - Medication Delivery
Give oral medication
Patient's left handPlace the medication cup in the patient's left hand first, then the water.
06Putting it all together
Use every skill in one full case. Lesson: Onboarding 5 - Putting it Together
